Elena Urioste, violin, and Michael Brown, piano, recital partners since 2009, have won critical acclaim across the United States and abroad. As a duo they garnered a rave review from The New York Times for their Merkin Hall debut in New York City, and have since captivated audiences in recital venues ranging from England to California. Acclaimed soloists in their own right, Elena Urioste has been hailed in The New York Times for her “stunning performances and Michael Brown in the same newspaper as “a young piano visionary.” Recent recordings by the duo of sonatas by Strauss, Janácek, Fauré, and Ravel have aired on BBC Radio 3, with additional recordings to follow in the months ahead.
