DESCRIPTION:The HooDoo Loungers are a nine piece East Coast based band performing music inspired by the rhythms\, sounds\, history and spirit of New Orleans. The band’s sound encompasses traditional New Orleans Jazz\, Brass Band\, classic R&B and funk – a blend of original music and re-arranged New Orleans classics. The HooDoo’s perform a high energy and highly entertaining show that will please young and old alike. Since it’s formation in 2008\, the HooDoo’s have performed at numerous East Coast music festivals and concerts as well as performing at top music venues such as the Paramount Theater (Huntington)\, The Stephen Talkhouse (The Hamptons) and B.B. Kings Blues Club (NYC).

Combining an urban-pop and rock sound with a blues vibe\, they have written and recorded multiple albums and EP’s of original songs. Their latest songs have been recorded with Grammy Nominated engineer Kenta Yonesaka at Germano Studios in New York City.  Matt and Andrew have toured the East Coast performing at notable venues such as the Hard Rock Café and The Cutting Room in New York City along with sold out performances in Hollywood California and at Texas’ South by Southwest in recent years. He continued with Finn Augensen; Leonard Eisner (Juilliard Pre-College Division); BM under Gerald Robbins (Queens College/CUNY); and MM and DMA in piano under W. John Williams (University of South Carolina). He was president of the Northport Running Club (2007 – 2009) and continues to be one of its proud members.
