The historic gardens of Planting Fields provide the perfect setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other special celebrations. Weddings and events take place in the evenings with ceremonies beginning at 5pm or later, after the gardens have closed to the public.

Rental Location
Ceremonies can be held in the following locations:
• The Cloister Garden • The Blue Pool Garden • The West Portico
Rental Fees
1-hour rental: $2,500
2-hour rental: $5,000
This includes up to 60 guests, including vendors.
Additional Guests
If your guest list exceeds your agreed count, an additional fee will apply:
• 1–20 extra guests: $1,000
• 21–40 extra guests: $2,000
Additional increments of 20 guests: $1,000 each. This fee is deducted from your security deposit. We recommend confirming your guest count in advance to help everything go smoothly.
Overtime
Any time over the agreed rental period will be billed in half-hour intervals at $500 per interval.
Photography
• $500 covers photography for up to 8 people inside the historic mansion.

Security Deposit
• A $1,500 security deposit is required to reserve the facility.
Ceremony Information
• Ceremonies are held after 5pm, once the park officially closes. Other visitors may still be present on the grounds.
• Dates are confirmed once a non-refundable deposit (50% of total rental) is received.
• A rental agreement is required to finalize your reservation.
• A certificate of insurance listing Planting Fields Foundation as additional insured is required for your event. All vendors should also provide insurance coverage.
Rain Policy
• While we don’t offer formal rain dates, in the event of inclement weather, ceremonies can be moved to the West Portico as an alternative.
The Main House is not available for ceremonies during rain.
Set-Up and Decor
• We can provide up to 60 chairs. Should you need more than 60 seats, you must notify us in advance.
• A staff member will be on-site to ensure your event runs smoothly and the historic site is protected.
• All décor will be removed at the end of the ceremony.
To keep the grounds beautiful for everyone, please note: balloons, confetti, flower petals, rice, animals, candles, smoke machines, and loud music are not allowed.
Guest Guidelines
• Restrooms are conveniently located near the Main Greenhouse.
• Food, beverages, alcohol, and smoking are not permitted.
• Guests and bridal party members will walk from the main parking lot to the ceremony site.
• The use of candles (or any open flames), smoke machines, loud music, and similar items is strictly prohibited.
• Please note that all ceremony guests and bridal party members must walk to the ceremony location from the main parking lot, as vehicles do not have an accessible path to drive directly to the site. No limos or private vehicles will be allowed to access the parking lot at the Main House.
