Planting Fields hosts an annual Camellia Festival in the stunning Camellia House to celebrate the seasonal beauty of the historic camellia collection. Largely the vision of the Olmsted Brothers in 1918 to serve as a show palace for the Coe family’s prized Camellia collection, the Camellia House is typically in full bloom mid-February to early March.

Lace up your running shoes and register for our Spring 5K! Enjoy our beautiful woodland trails in spring, as you make your way around the historic landscape of Planting Fields. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate. All registrants will receive a personal bib, photo, and medal.

Arbor Day
Since 1987, Planting Fields has commemorated Arbor Day with a festival of family-friendly activities to celebrate the importance of trees and educate visitors on tree care and conservation.
This two-day celebration promises a weekend of family-friendly fun! From thrilling tree climbing adventures, engaging children’s activities, live music, and more, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Planting Pride
First held in 2022, Planting Pride celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and its past, present, and future at Planting Fields.
