$45 after 
$50 day of race

This is your chance to experience autumn at its absolute best on foot through the historic Olmsted Brothers-designed landscape of Planting Fields! If you’ve experienced our one-of-a-kind seasonal 5K before, you already know what makes this race so special. If this is your first time, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure. 
 
Join us for our 6th Annual Fall 5K, a beloved autumn tradition that welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best, a casual walker, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of the season, this event is the perfect way to celebrate fall with friends, family, and the community. 
 
The scenic 5K course winds through the breathtaking historic Olmsted Brothers-designed landscape, offering a race experience unlike any other on Long Island. Participants will traverse paved pathways, open grassy turf, and winding forest trails with natural dirt and rocky terrain that showcase the preserve’s diverse beauty. Approximately 170 feet of elevation gain, highlighted by the signature ascent beginning at the Carshalton Gates, provides just the right amount of challenge, making the course as rewarding as it is picturesque. 
 
And because it wouldn’t be fall without a little festive fun, Halloween costumes are encouraged! Whether spooky, silly, or spectacular, come dressed to impress and cast your vote for the most festive participant at the Planting Fields Foundation Information Booth. 
 
Lace up, embrace the season, and discover why the Planting Fields Fall 5K has become a favorite annual tradition. Come for the run, stay for the foliage, and create lasting memories in one of Long Island’s most extraordinary landscapes.
