A Review in Restoration: The West Portico

The West Portico of Coe Hall is one of the most distinctive architectural features at Planting Fields, admired and loved by many who visit season after season. Since October 2020, the West Portico has undergone a major restoration led by Jan Hird Pokorny Associates (JHPA), a full-service architectural firm specializing in the preservation of historic buildings, and Aegis Restauro. Register for this Panorama program to hear about what we discovered throughout the restoration, what has been accomplished, the craftsmanship applied to maintain its original aesthetic and how the public will benefit from the reopening of the space. Led by James McPartland, historic preservation associate at Planting Fields and Kurt Hirschberg from JHPA, the presentation will give you a behind-the-scenes look at this important project.
