Members will have the opportunity to listen, learn, and ask questions about the methods and joys of growing your own food and cooking it at home. Orkestai Farm co-founder and Executive Director Alethea Vasilas, along with Orkestai’s four farmers, will discuss regional food systems, sustainable agriculture, and home vegetable gardening. They will be joined by Casey Barber, author of three cookbooks and founder and editor of the critically acclaimed website Good. Food. Stories. an online magazine that focuses on food from a storyteller’s perspective. Casey will talk about recipe development, meal prepping, contemporary food culture, and offer tips on what to do with all those home-grown fruits and vegetables!
