Learn about our newly restored historic Heather Garden with Planting Fields Foundation’s Historic Landscape Horticulturist Donna Moramarco. Inspired by W.R. Coe’s travels to the English Moorlands where heather thrives in abundance, the renowned Olmsted Brothers landscape architectural firm created Coe’s vision in 1924 with this unexpected, formal landscape feature cradled between a forest and lawn. This year, the Heather Garden has gone through a much-needed renovation with a careful eye toward supporting the sustainability of this unique space for years to come. Capacity is limited.
