Join us on November 4 to celebrate the release of Courtney M. Leonard at the Taxus Field, where her art installation BREACH: Logbook 23 | ROOT will be on available to view and traditional LIVE Shinnecock music can be enjoyed! After the performance, guests will stroll to Coe Hall, where Courtney M. Leonard will speak about her artwork. Refreshments, a book signing and a first look at Leonard’s newly created earthenware dinner set (on display on Coe Hall’s dining table!) will follow.
Copies of the publication Courtney M. Leonard will be available to purchase for $25.

About Courtney M. Leonard
Courtney M. Leonard, Shinnecock artist and filmmaker, is Planting Fields Foundation’s 2023 Catalyst artist. Her project BREACH: Logbook 23 | ROOT, is a site-specific commission located in the Taxus Field at Planting Fields that will be on view through summer 2024. Leonard’s work embodies the multiple definitions of “breach”, an exploration and documentation of historical ties to water, whales, and material sustainability.
