Join us for the first Halloween Family Fun Night! This family event is the perfect blend of science, spookiness, and art. In true Halloween spirit, participants will get an up-close look at animal bones as they dissect an owl pellet, and paint their very own pumpkin to bring home!
*What’s an owl pellet?An owl pellet is a small, oval object that an owl regurgitates after swallowing its prey. It is made up of the indigestible parts of the owl’s food like bones, fur, feathers, teeth, plant matter, or insect exoskeletons. What we find in an owl pellet can provide insight into what the owl has recently eaten and can be used to learn about the food chain, animal anatomy, and ecology!
