Step into a vibrant winter festival and experience the season’s most enchanting sight: over 200 camellia varieties in full bloom! Long celebrated for their elegance and color, these stunning flowers offer the perfect escape from the winter blues.
This multi-sensory festival spans both the Main House and Camellia Greenhouse, with something for every visitor:
In the Main House
– Typewriter Poets: Watch talented poets craft personalized, one-of-a-kind poems just for you!
– Coe Family Camellia Plate Display: Explore the historic dining room adorned with the family’s rare and exquisite camellia plates, a glimpse into the estate-era elegance.
– Curated Tea Tasting: Savor a selection of specialty teas, thoughtfully paired to complement the festival’s floral atmosphere.
– Creative Workshops & Crafts: Create your own wellness or traditional tea bags, camellia-inspired tissue paper flowers, and watercolor painting.
In the Camellia Greenhouse
– Explore the largest camellia collection under glass in the Northeast.
– Complimentary guided tours with Planting Fields Arboretum Director, Vincent Simeone, at 11am, 1pm and 2:30pm. Tours are welcoming, accessible, and engaging for all ages.
– Meet friendly ladybugs and learn how these beneficial insects support healthy plants and gardens.
