Kick off Natural Sensory Celebration Week with a thoughtfully designed, sensory-inclusive exploration of food and plant science! Participants will begin with a guided visit to the greenhouse, learning how plants grow and where food comes from through observation and hands-on engagement. Activities invite participants to explore the colors, scents, and textures of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in ways that support a variety of sensory preferences and learning styles.

Participants will then engage in a structured, hands-on food science activity focused on creating a nutritious, energy-rich snack. Opportunities for participation are flexible, and children are encouraged to engage at their own comfort level. The program concludes with planting vegetable seedlings for participants to take home and care for, reinforcing the connection between seeds, growth, and nourishment.
