Celebrate the publication of Planting Fields: A Place on Long Island with us on Friday, May 16!
This exciting evening features a book release-reception, followed by remarks and a book signing. Learn more about the making of this landmark publication and its significance in the context of the Long Island Country Place era. Meet the contributors who will be available to answer questions and sign copies of the book. This special after-hours event is free to attend with registration, and Planting Fields: A Place on Long Island will be available for purchase.
Planting Fields: A Place on Long Island is the first monograph on Planting Fields, published by Phaidon/Monacelli Press, and features the story of Planting Fields through stunning new photography by David Almeida, complimented with archival photographs, sketches and plans from over 100 years ago. With contributions from Witold Rybczynski, Jennifer Anderson, Arleyn Levee, Patricia O’Donnell, and John Dixon Hunt this publication explores the history and future of Planting Fields.
