Camellia Festival

Free – $10Join us for the Camellia Festival in our stunning Camellia greenhouse for a balmy escape from the chilly, late winter days.
The Quatrain Barbershop Quartet will perform throughout the day and guided tours will take place at 1:00 and 3:00 PM, sharing the remarkable history of this 1917 greenhouse, built collaboratively by Lowell & Sargent and the Olmsted Brothers. Coe Hall will be open for a Tea Talk & Tasting, guided and self-guided tours, a magic show and crafts for kids.
Admission to both greenhouses is free. A $10 entrance fee applies to activities in Coe Hall (FREE for Members and kids under 12)
Coe Hall Activities:
Tea Talk & Tasting at 12:00 PM
Hosted by Ron and Pam Phipps, the talk will begin with a short introduction to the most famous member of the Camellia genus, Camellia Sinensis, and continue with an overview of the botanical history of tea, its diversity and charm, its role in the world and American history, ecological significance and health benefits. Photographs of tea gardens and tea culture will be presented.
Guided tours will be offered at:
