This special daytime edition of Creative Spirits invites you to experience one of the most spectacular sights of the season: the breathtaking winter display of hundreds of camellias in full bloom inside the historic Camellia House at Planting Fields. During a private half-hour reserved exclusively for this program, guests may wander through a dazzling array of colors, forms, and varieties at their own pace.
Following their self-guided greenhouse stroll, attendees will gather in the Main House’s Great Hall for an engaging presentation by internationally renowned horticulturist and Planting Fields Arboretum Director, Vincent Simeone. Camellias, celebrated worldwide for their elegance and enduring charm, were a favorite of W. R. Coe, and the collection here at Planting Fields is the largest under glass in the Northeast. Guests can enjoy a tea-based signature drink while learning from Vincent’s deep expertise on the history, cultivation, and artistry of camellias.
Part of our Creative Spirits series, this unique daytime program offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a world-class collection while hearing directly from one of the region’s foremost experts.

1:30-2pm: Explore the Main House’s first floor and enjoy a signature tea-based beverage
