DAVID HOUSTON PERFORMS – Mark Twain Telling Tales

In a lecture on the nature of comedy and wit, with notes on Twain’s early development as a writer — taken from the essays and stories of the great American humorist, including: “An Encounter With an Interviewer,” “My First Literary Venture,” “How to Tell a Story,” and “The Turning Point of My Career,” with fully dramatized readings of the short stories “The Golden Arm,” “The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” and the famous white washing scene from the Adventures of Tom Sawyer.   For more information call Jennifer Lavella (516) 922-8678 or jlavella@plantingfields.org
