Celebrate the feathered visitors of the colder months with a special story time focused on winter birds! We’ll learn about cardinals, chickadees, woodpeckers, and other hardy birds that brighten the winter landscape. After our story, children will create a festive bird-inspired craft. Finally, we’ll talk about the birds that stay at Planting Fields during winter and share simple ways we can help care for them throughout the chilly season.

Parks are for everyone – even our littlest learners! Join us twice a month for a brand-new experience: Every other week we will introduce children ages 2 – 5 to the natural world around them and engage them and their parents. We’ll tackle one theme at a time with a nature story, craft, and open play outside! This series will take place on Friday mornings from 10 – 11am unless otherwise noted.

This is NOT a drop-off program. Due to classroom capacity, only one adult may accompany each child during the class. If your child requires accommodations, if you have any questions or are interested in group rates, please contact efitzpatrick@plantingfields.org

This is a non-refundable program. 48 Hour Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel; you will be credited the amount towards a future education workshop.
