Step into the forest and meet the furry, feathered, and sometimes hidden animals that call it home! Kids will begin with an enchanting story that introduces the world of woodland creatures, followed by hands-on creative activities that bring these animals to life. Then, we’ll head outdoors to explore Planting Fields, spotting real animals and engaging in playful activities that mimic their natural habits. It’s a delightful blend of storytelling, imagination, and interactive nature exploration that sparks curiosity in every little learner.

More about the Little Learner Series

Parks are for everyone – even our littlest learners! Join us twice a month for a brand-new experience: Every other week we will introduce children ages 2 – 5 to the natural world around them and engage them and their parents. We’ll tackle one theme at a time with a nature story, craft, and open play outside! This series will take place on Friday mornings from 10 – 11am unless otherwise noted.

This is NOT a drop-off program. Due to classroom capacity, only one adult may accompany each child during the class. If your child requires accommodations, if you have any questions or are interested in group rates, please contact efitzpatrick@plantingfields.org

This is a non-refundable program. 48 Hour Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel; you will be credited the amount towards a future education workshop.
