Storytelling from Artifacts with Tracey Segarra
July 2, 2020 | 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Master storyteller and Moth Grand-Slam winner, Tracey Segarra, joins us for an intimate workshop on the art of storytelling. You’ll learn about the story behind a prized object from Planting Fields’ current exhibition, The Electrifying Art and Spaces of Robert Winthrop Chanler, and will craft your own story with Tracey’s hands-on guidance. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small group with one of NY’s most in-demand storytellers. Tracey is an award winning producer, host of “Now Who’s Talking” and works with public and private groups as a consultant and public speaker. Grab your favorite object and let’s start talking!
Tracey is an award-winning storyteller, producer of a live storytelling show, a workshop leader, consultant and public speaker. Tracey got up the nerve to tell her first story at a Moth StorySLAM in NYC in May of 2015, won the competition that night with a tale of heartbreak and redemption and went on then to win the Moth GrandSLAM competition in November. She came to storytelling later in life and has embraced it with the fervor of an evangelist. It is her mission to spread its transformative power far and wide.
