Celebrate a Fun-Filled Summer of STEAM at the 2024 Planting Fields Foundation Summer Camp!
This summer camp is a nature-based experience for Earth Artists, (ages 4 – 7), and Earth Engineers, (ages 8 – 11), developed and led by the Education Department.
Earth Artists campers will dive into their endless imaginations through nature art experiences throughout their session. Not only will they explore the park, participate in natural science activities and classic camp fun, but they will engage with and create their own costumes, props, works of art, and performances with and within nature itself!
Earth Engineers will take their love of nature a step further through nature-inspired engineering projects throughout the park, practicing problem-solving and creativity by finding solutions to help us protect and celebrate nature. Along with enjoying classic camp fun, campers will create and present numerous hands-on projects throughout the week and weave in artistic expression throughout this process!
These camp experiences emphasize nature and environmental stewardship. Campers will live into the natural rhythm of the season and local environment through play, natural arts & sciences, thought-provoking activities and projects, and engaging games. They will have the unique experience of being immersed in the variety of spaces that are offered at Planting Fields. These beautiful spaces include our Education Center (Historic Laundry Building), woodland trails, greenhouses, Olmsted Brothers designed landscapes, the bird sanctuary, and historic Coe Hall!
A down payment of 50% is required upon registration to secure your child’s spot. Remaining payment due by June 1. We have a limited number of spots available – enrollment will be on a first come, first served basis. Cancellation Policy: Cancel before June1 and receive 50% of your deposit back. After June 1, this program is non-refundable.
