The Great Bird Blind Debate Slide Slam

November 18, 2020 | 7:00 pm8:30 pm

Join us for this first-ever evening of dueling ideas and dialogue among artists in this Panorama program, “The Great Bird Blind Debate Slide Slam.”  Inspired by the exhibition now on view, The Great Bird Blind Debate, our virtual discussion and presentation features artists David Brooks and Mark Dion who will present their works, Budding Bird Blind and The Posh Blind, respectively, while defending points of view on “birding” as an activity and “birders” as a distinct community.  You won’t want to miss these world-class artists go toe-to-toe in this exchange of artistic insight, environmental reflection and a little bit of humor mixed in.

Stir up your favorite cocktail to enjoy with the artists and your fellow audience while the slide slam takes place.  If you haven’t already, pick up a copy of The Great Bird Blind Debate, the limited-edition exhibition book, available on our website or in the museum shop in Coe Hall.

The program will run from 7:00-8:30 PM. Your Zoom access link will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
