TAKE NOTICE, that sealed bids will be received by the Planting Fields Foundation, Inc. on March 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM prevailing time, when they will be publicly opened and read aloud for:
Planting Fields Arboretum Main Entry Drive:
TREES, WALKS AND DRIVE REPAIR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The Project consists of the following elements as shown on the project drawings: selected removals and grading; construction of an accessible concrete walk. Planting of the entry drive with 110 oak trees that have already been procured for the project area. The project site is located at Planting Fields Arboretum and Park, property at 1395 Planting Fields Rd in Oyster Bay, NY 11771. The property is owned by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP). The project will be managed by Planting Fields Foundation, Inc.
Contract Documents are available in electronic format at no charge. Electronic copies may be downloaded from the website https://plantingfields.org; beginning on February 28, 2023.

There will be a pre-bid site project walk through on March 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Contractors may submit questions up until 4:00 PM on Monday, March 13th, 2023. Interested parties will meet at the main parking lot and sign in at that time. The potential Contractor (principal or managerial level staff) is required to walk the project site with Landscape Architect/ and/or Other representation as designated by the Owner, to review the existing conditions and work scope in advance of providing a Proposal. Bid submission from firms without principal or managerial staff representation at the walkthrough will not be accepted.

Bids must be submitted as hardcopy, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Bidders’ name, address and the project name “Planting Field Trees, Walks and Drive Repair” to Planting Fields Foundation, 1395 Planting Fields Rd in Oyster Bay, NY 11771. Bid must be received on or before March 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM prevailing time.
Funding for this project comes in part through an Environmental Protection Fund grand administered by the New York State OPRHP , and shall be bid using prevailing wage requirements. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. The following goals have been set for this project: 13% of the contract value for MBEs and 17% of the contract value for WBEs. All bidders must submit with their bids an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy statement and an MWBE Utilization Plan. The Planting Fields Foundation, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids at their discretion. Project start-up is anticipated in early April 2023.
