The Evolution of Beauty with Dr. Richard Prum
March 17, 2021 | 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

In the great halls of science, dogma holds that Darwin’s theory of natural selection explains every branch on the tree of life: which species thrive, which wither away to extinction, and what features each evolves. But can adaptation by natural selection really account for everything we see in nature? Join us for this Panorama presentation featuring Dr. Richard Prum, the William Robertson Coe Professor of Ornithology at Yale University, who will be speaking on his New York Times best-selling book, and a Pulitzer Prize finalist, The Evolution of Beauty, which presents a unique scientific vision for how nature’s splendor contributes to a more complete understanding of evolution and of ourselves. Dr. Prum holds the special professorship at Yale University that was endowed by W.R. Coe.
