A Ramble with Frederick Law Olmsted

Performing Artist of Living History Joseph Smith will portray Frederick Law Olmsted as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of his birth in 1822. The performance will highlight his early life and education, his various careers as clerk, sailor, farmer and journalist, his travels and journey to becoming the “Father of American Landscape Architecture”.
