Broadway Night at Coe Hall

New York City’s Broadway comes to Planting Fields with a musical repertoire from the best of the 1990s and early 2000s that will resonate throughout the Great Hall. Skip the trip into the city and bring your date to Oyster Bay for a truly memorable performance. Pianist Ross Paterson will play Mai Coe’s Steinway, accompanied by 5 outstanding Broadway vocalists including, Cecelia Ticktin (Wicked), Rob Gallagher (Les Miserables), Marie Danvers (Phantom of the Opera), Diamond Essence White (Dear Evan Hansen) and Mike Schwitter (Les Miserables.)
The evening line up will include: “The Wizard and I” (Wicked); “Only Us” (Dear Evan Hansen); “You’ll Be Back” (Hamilton); “All I Care About is Love” (Chicago); “Think of Me” and “The Phantom of the Opera” (Phantom of the Opera).
Wine, other beverages and special refreshments will be served.

Artist Bios
Pianist Ross Patterson’s career in music has been as varied and eclectic as the many styles he loves to play. After completing his studies at The Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Ross spent two years on the road as Musical Director for the Ice Capades before heading to NYC. There he quickly became one of the most sought after pianists by singers. This led to Ross musical directing, arranging and recording for many of the top cabaret and theater artists in New York. He has been honored twice with the Backstage Bistro Award for outstanding musical direction. Ross has collaborated on Noah Racey’s Pulse, starring Noah Racey and directed by Jeff Calhoun, which was performed at the Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Florida, as well as Noah’s one man show performed at Symphony Space in NYC. For the past 19 years, Ross has been the arranger, musical director and band leader for the critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year concert series at The Town Hall, as well as for the Broadway Unplugged series, also at The Town Hall. Recently, Ross joined the Musical Theater faculty at Manhattan School of Music.
Rob Gallagher starred on Broadway as Javert in Les Miserables, and appeared as Emile DeBecque in the Tony Award winning revival of Roger’s and Hammerstein’s South Pacific – a role he is recently reprised at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport. Off-Broadway credits include Fiorello! with City Center Encores!, Forbidden Broadway and Reefer Madness (with Kristen Bell and choreographed by Paula Abdul). Also at Northport’s John W. Engeman Theater, he starred as Harold Hill in The Music Man, Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, Bill Sykes in Oliver, and Dr. Carrasco in Man of LaMancha.
Marie Danvers is best known for her starring turn as Christine in the Broadway and National Touring production of The Phantom of the Opera. She has sung all over the world as Maria in West Side Story and appeared in the National and International Tour of The Fantasticks with Robert Goulet.
Cecelia Ticktin just returned home from standing by for the role of Elphaba on the “Wicked” National Tour. She is also a singer and songwriter.
Diamond Essence White is a proud graduate of Long Island University where she received her BFA in Acting with a concentration in Musical Theatre. She appeared in the original cast of Dear Evan Hansen. As a native New Yorker, Diamond has been exposed to the arts for her entire life and was born into a musically gifted family that instilled the love of music and singing into her life.
Mike Schwitter just finished traveling for two years with the national tour of Les Misérables (covering Marius and Enjolras.) Broadway: Pippin (Lewis, u/s Pippin). National Tour: The Book of Mormon (Swing, u/s Elder Price). Regional: Next to Normal (Regional Premier and elsewhere; Gabe), Jesus Christ Superstar, Love Changes Everything, Chamberlain. Mike has also performed with dozens of symphonies across the country in shows such as Cirque Musica, “The Spy Who Loved Me” with Sheena Easton, and West Side Story at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. Mike holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and currently resides in New York City.
