Summer Art Series: Workshops for Kids
$25 per child, per session. 

These nature and art inspired workshops can be attended as a series or as stand alone programs! 

Nature Weaving Workshop
Sunday, Jun. 2, 10am – 12pm
To celebrate the beauty of the trees at Planting Fields, children ages 8 – 12  will create a colorful tree weaving and landscape painting in one! Come join us as we learn about making a simple handmade loom and discover the magic of weaving with colorful yarns. Participants will take home a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork they will cherish!

Draw in the Garden Workshop
Sunday, July 14, 10am – 12pm
Discover the beauty and color of the flowers and plants in bloom at Planting Fields! Participants will enjoy exploring the Sensory Garden while sketching and drawing in their own Nature Journal, and learn how to create still life close-up paintings of flowers like Georgia O’Keefe. Participants will take home their Nature Journal full of exciting botanical drawings, as well as their own floral paintings! 

Self-Portraits Workshop
Saturday, Aug. 10, 10am – 12pm
Celebrate YOU! In this art and history-based workshop for children ages 8 – 12, artists will explore Coe Hall’s many portraits and their histories. Participants will celebrate what makes them unique as they try their hand at their own self-portraits! 

This is a drop-off program. Guardians are encouraged to stay on-site during the duration of the program and explore the beautiful grounds!
